In 1986, the Montana Bankers Association formed a for-profit subsidiary to promote the profitability and viability of its member banks. By combining the purchasing power of MBA members, the subsidiary, BANCSERVE, Inc., offers a full-range of competitive, value-added products and services.

BANCSERVE's goal is to respond to industry needs by providing appropriate products and services that individual banks cannot economically create for themselves or which can be provided more effectively as a group. Through participation in BANCSERVE programs. all banks are able to realize competitve advantages when purchasing insurance, checks, bank forms, and many other products and services.

BANCSERVE's activities are overseen by a seven-member Board of Directors. This Board, consisting of the MBA Chairman, MBA President/CEO, Secretary/Treasurer, and four bank directors, focuses on industry needs of MBA member banks of all sizes.

Administrative Duties:
Able to provide all necessary administrative duties including, but not limited to:

• Coordinating dates and times, issuing notices, providing agendas/materials, and keeping minutes for all Board and Committee meetings.  These services would include regular and special scheduled board meetings as well as annual membership meetings.
  
• Completing and filing all necessary reports required of state and federal agencies.
• Maintaining all membership information and files.
  
• Providing dues billing and collection services for members and associates.  Financial Services including accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly, quarterly, and yearly financials,
• Services including accounts payable; accounts receivable; monthly, quarterly, and yearly financials; and audit cooperation.
• Cooperation and corresponding with agents of other state and national associations.
• Other duties as assigned by the Board.

Governmental Affairs Management

In conjunction with appropriate directors, committees, and counsel, able to provide governmental affairs management on  approved goals and objectives as directed.  The Montana Bankers Association and BANCSERVE have been involved in legislative activities “To  preserve and promote sound banking laws” for over 104 years.

The only bank specific MT Lobbying Team that meets with other business oriented associations and lobbyists to discuss issues of common interest, such as in initiatives and referendums, election of pro-business candidates, lobbying laws, regulations, workers   compensation, etc. consists of:
